This game is all kinds of f'd up--which I mean as a compliment. The alternate reality aspects reminded me of Black Watchmen or some of the other hacking type games out there right now. I'm not even totally finished with it yet, because I honestly had to give myself a breather on the puzzles. However, I think I've done enough of it to do the review...Pros:- weird as heck- gives you no hints as to wtf you're doing- the graphic effects make it kind of creepy- easter eggs for people who like ARGs- logic puzzles galore (I love logic puzzles)- not super difficult- no idea what's going on with the story, it's like reading old cyber sex chat logs from 1996 which for some people is gonna be a huge turnoff but also is hilarious for those of us who spent time on AIM back in the day- the game uses its own store page as a reference which is awesome and innovative (you'll see what I mean if you play it)Cons:- there is only one type of puzzle and I WILL spoil that because people who don't like Minesweeper are gonna hate this one- no idea what's going on with the story (like I said this is not for everyone)- ???If you like weird stuff, ARGs, conspiracy theory/scifi TV shows, reading other people's sexts, David Lynch, fan theories, or hacking games, you will probably enjoy this. I personally love games that leave a lot to be interpreted and/or require you to do a little extra digging on your own, so it's up my alley. YMMV.Side note: If you do buy this game, be sure to watch the trailer and also play the demo AND the actual game.. I like puzzle games, and I love games that center around hacking or otherwise exploring technology, so I saw a lot of promise with Sorry, James. Unfortunately, it fell flat for me. The story...exists, I guess. It's there, but I wasn't particularly engaged with it. A lackluster story might have been okay if the puzzles were interesting, but they turned out to be an annoying minesweeper-esque game that didn't hold my attention past the first few levels. If it goes on a good enough sale and it's really interesting to you, then nothing is particularly broken about the game, but I just didn't find it to be an enjoyable experience.. Simply amazing, excellent writting and desing.From begging to end this game made me think to solve it's challenges and it would never hold your hand. I played this game probably way more than what I should have but is just to good.If you want a short puzzle game with a facinating story, give this game a chance.. A nice puzzle, you don't need to give a shi+ about the story anyway.. what utter crap worse so called hacking game I have ever played want bored to death play this. I've been wanting to play this game for awhile, but I'm honestly very disappointed in it. The concept is decent, but it doesn't explain ANYTHING. Not how to log in, not how to solve the puzzles, and not really what is going on in the game play. A game is not enjoyable when you have to constantly exit out of it and playthrough it with a walkthrough or ask for help in the forum. It doesn't even tell you if it's saving your progress or not which is more than a little bit distressing. A help menu is SORELY needed IN GAME. Also, the English in this game could use quite a bit of work. I'm not sure what the original language of the developers are, but it wouldn't hurt to have some native English speakers review your text beforehand next time. Some of the dialogue wasn't really readable because of how poorly written the English was.The puzzles themselves were an interesting idea that I did enjoy. It was simply frustrating when I was introduced to a new element in the puzzle and provided NO explanation as to how that new element worked. I gave up after reaching part 2 as I got sick of going out of the game trying to figure out how this new element worked.
